Duties and Accountabilities
Plan, design, build, and test automated documents and solutions using Contract Express.
Analyze the requirements of the lawyers, other practice team members, and business service team members, regarding document construction, and implement those specifications within the document automation software.
Support the implementation, roll-out, and ongoing use, of the Firm’s Document Automation Solution :
Provide ongoing support to Partners, Associates, and Professional Support Lawyers in keeping their respective templates up to date.
Learn and maintain, a working knowledge of the software systems, necessary to carry out the job function.
Support the collection and analysis of usage, and other system metrics, to recommend changes and enhancements.
Perform other duties necessary and essential to support the Firm's strategic technology goals.
Required Skills :
Ability to efficiently and effective interview lawyers to understand the legal and business processes, workflow, and logic required to build documents, and document packets.
Basic understanding of legal concepts.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Analytic, pragmatic, self-motivated and comfortable working within a team.
Able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Able to provide 1 : 1 and 1 : many software training, using virtual conference or similar, on document automation and similar solutions.
Excellent customer service skills and practical process knowledge.
Ability to work effectively via telephone / video-conference with lawyers and other staff in offices throughout the world.
Ability to respond appropriately to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. is essential.
Bachelor’s degree required; Juris doctor and / or law-related degree or experience in a legal professional role a plus. Technology or business degrees considered with practical experience in document automation.
Two (2) years’ experience with Document Automation tools (such as Contract Express, Exari, or HotDocs) required.
Business analysis experience in legal and / or professional services environment a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Word skills including the use of templates and styles required; expertise in collaborative platforms (such as SharePoint) a plus.
Excellent English writing and reading skills a requirement; additional language fluency such as German or French, a plus.
Comfortable speaking with Partners, Associates, PSLs, and other end-user staff.
Understanding the typical legal transactional practice workflows and processes including due diligence review, matter / deal management, closing checklists, etc. a plus.
Location and Reporting
This position is in our Manila office, reporting to Senior Manager, Practice Innovation.
