MicroSourcing is currently looking for a Business Analyst for one of its Australian clients. The responsibility of the Business Analyst is to support the organisation's core businesses through research, analysis, and recommendation of new business initiatives, by providing a link between projects and the business community to elicit requirements and recommend effective solutions.
Job Description :
Assist with development of the business case (eg cost benefit analysis)
Elicit, Analyse, Simplify, Organise, Document and Manage business requirements, functional and nonfunctional requirements and systems requirements across multiple business streams.
Identify problems, needs, and opportunities for improvement at all levels
Work with Subject Matter Expert’s (SME) in designing potential solutions, create prototypes and ensure the proposed solution will help the organisation achieve its goals and is validated by the Stakeholders
Support decision making by creating process models to simulate what-if scenarios.
Document the types and structure of the business data (logical modeling)
Analyse and mine business data to identify patterns and correlations
Map and trace data from system to system in order to solve a given business or system problem
Perform statistical analysis of business data.
Explain requirements to the development team and clarify any doubts or concerns regarding the solution to be developed
Identify and respond to issues, risks, dependencies and changes associated with the projects
Identify and maintain healthy working relationships with the project stakeholders
Run meetings, take meeting minutes, update documents and communicate updated information to the stakeholders
Be a role model and accountable for living the client values and behaviours
Foster a constructive culture within the Team
Actively participate in professional development planning
Actively participate in team meetings and department or other staff events
Ensure a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace for all employees and contractors, report workplace hazards, and provide a safe and positive workplace
Complete all necessary training requirements and professional development opportunities
Minimum 3-5 years Business Analyst experience fulfilling all aspects of Business Analysis across a variety of projects
Ability to gather requirements by brainstorming, Interviewing, observation and facilitation of workshops.
Ability to develop a variety of BA artefacts including workflows (process maps), business cases, user stories, Business Requirements Document, Familiar with modelling tools (as Microsoft Visio, ARIS, Intalio or BizAgi), techniques and methods(BPMN and EPC).
Strong problem solving skills
Collaborative and proactive approach
Financial literacy (eg. ability to understand P&L and budgets)
Experience working with both waterfall and agile methodologies an advantage
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
Ability to communicate and provide training on new process and system functionalities
Ability to work under pressure on occasion to meet deadlines
Ability to apply analytical skill and conceptual thinking to operations and system planning across a range of technologies
Strong customer service focus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Results oriented, can-do individual who establishes productive working relationships within the team
