About the role
Your responsibilities are, but not limited to :
Encourages and exemplifies excellent service to internal and external customers.
Assists in the implementation of and manages the continued use of various technology tools to enhance the Accounts Payable process including Bill.
com, Expensify, NetSuite and document imaging.
Ensures that all Accounts Payable inquiries and research requests are answered in a timely manner, including responding personally as needed.
Implements firm policies and procedures pertaining to Accounts Payable and ensures they are followed.
Identifies potential irregularities in connection with payment and reimbursement functions.
Reviews and forwards all vendor, reimbursement invoice and credit card entries to the appropriate party within finance for final review and approval of payment.
Prepares and issues year end 1099 reports
Supervises the setup of all new vendors, including receipt of W-9s and Certificate of Insurance forms at setup, as well as updated COI’s as needed.
Manages monthly closing of AP records
Tracks the receipt and entry of monthly and contract invoices to the correct calendar month.
Prepares department metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Prepares and provides reports as requested.
Skills and Experience
Degree in Accounting preferred.
A minimum of five years’ experience or any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Must be familiar working in a high volume and inventory-intensive environment.
Thorough understanding of a three way matching system (purchase order, receiving and packing list) is required.
Experience in NetSuite or other comparable ERP system.
