This is an Associate position with the Analytics Production team with initial responsibilities being the execution of the day-
to-day tasks as they relate to the calculation and dissemination of the content of MSCI Equity Risk Models. In this role, the candidate will work closely with other team members and business units globally to produce and deliver high quality value-
added risk content, together with other financial data, to our customers. Data and content are strategic assets and competitive advantage of MSCI Inc.
Understanding clients' needs and uses of data and analytical tools in their investment processes is essential. This role is best suited for a results-
driven, self-starter with a strong work ethic.
Scope of Responsibility
As an Analytics Production Analyst, you will :
Be an integral link to the overall success of MSCI products
Handle operations by conducting monitoring and QA for the daily production of MSCI Equity Risk Models
Provide our clients with the financial market content they use for equity factor investing and managing risk
Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with emphasis on quality and accuracy
Assist our Sales and Client Relations Group in resolving client inquiries related to our content
Work closely with our global data update teams and global data vendors
Specific Knowledge / Skills
Demonstrated strong interest in the capital markets, data and risk management
Good understanding of markets, finance, financial statements and corporate events
Interest and experience in process operations, process management and quality assurance
Ability to communicate and work effectively in a result oriented, team-driven organization
Commitment to improving the business and customer experience
Ability to work on an EMEA shift and on flexible and extended hours
Capability to work independently and under pressure
Strong excel skills and understanding or knowledge of Matlab, R, SQL or SAS a plus
1-3 years relevant work experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative fields
Pursuing the CFA / FRM designations an advantage
