Description The Technical Support Engineer 2, Service Proposals will be responsible for the timely and accurate creation of all service and equipment parts proposals in compliance with technical specifications and for ensuring that all parts of the proposal have been properly completed and integrated into the final draft. Responsibilities

Proposal Creation

  • Enters quote details, recommended product model codes, and miscellaneous items (documents and services) in system
  • Populates the price in the quoting tool upon receipt from suppliers.
  • Provides product lead time based on system data (standard product lead time)
  • Gathers and confirm process contact details and information accordingly in the database. Enters data and required information using standardized templates / forms / business
  • Validates and calculates pricing using system tools
  • Calculates documentation / service cost and fills outdocument / service quote form as part of proposal
  • Calculates Freight and packing cost based on payment terms and customer delivery address

    Engineering Review

  • Provides product specification information that the customer needs
  • Identify customer documentation requirements and specifications / Reviews customer data and documentation requirements (type, format, copies) against factory standard
  • Evaluates customer requirements based on product features and offerings and provides the correct product license is required.
  • Reviews configuration datasheet and validates against customer requirements
  • Reviews individual instrument specifications / requirementsand selects appropriate model code and service offering. All products are based on current product offerings and service offering.
  • Builds product model string based on customer requirements. System aided tool is used for the final model built.

  • Liaise directly with customer / end-user to provide official quotation and other technical / commercial
  • clarifications / assistance

    Customer Management

  • Responds to Level 1 general inquiries and requests received from mailbox and identify need for escalations
  • Conducts initial analysis of requests and respond to customer.
  • Requirements

    Education : Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation and Control, Chemical, Mechanical, etc.)

    Job Related Experience : At least 1.5 years of experience in customer service doing technical proposal generation, and equipment sizing and selection
