Elevate is recruiting an Accountant . As an Accountant you will work closely with our Senior Accounting Manager and support the growing needs in the global Finance Department, specifically doing accounting entries and substantiation, account reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, maintenance of financial security and internal controls, compliance with US GAAP and other financial legal requirements, and other reporting and audit support.
Not only will you help to keep up with the current demands on the department, you will also be involved in the development of new templates and procedures that will drive our success.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Specifically, you will
Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries.
Maintain documentation, approval and support for accounting entries.
Reconcile accounts completely and on time, including financial discrepancies.
Prepare financial statements and other reports.
Help to achieve desired closing timelines.
Maintain financial security and confidentiality with internal controls; recommend policies and procedures related to the same.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP; recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local financial legal requirements by researching and interpreting policy and regulations;
prepare advisement for management on required actions.
Special financial reports including but not limited to summarizing account information and trends.
Support audits as required.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate accounting required
Experience with a global company preferred
Experience in services industry a plus
Exposure to US GAAP preferred
