Primary Responsibilities :
Perform feasibility studies and estimates for the implementation of new or revised database systems to solve business needs
Install, migrate, upgrade and maintain multiple databases required for development, testing, and production environments
Coordinate backup and recovery strategies with backup administrator
Work with Architecture team to establish coding standards for stored procedures, triggers, logical and physical schema design;
approve complex structural changes to the database
Recommend database approaches and design to infrastructure and application teams
Understanding of execution plans and how to use them to optimize / improve query costs, indexing
Excellent technical troubleshooting and consultation with quality assurance and development teams
Troubleshoot problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools
Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements
Automation experience using DevOpS methodology
Hands-on experience on any of the scripting languages and T-SQL
Participate in 12x7 on call rotation
Experience on SSRS / SSIS will be an added advantage
Very good Knowledge and experience in Migrations, High Availability concepts, Database Backup, Restore and Disaster Recovery procedures
Maintaining Database Authentication modes, Creation of users, Configuring permissions for users
Database refresh for staging environment
Daily Monitoring of the Production, Development and UAT databases
Export Backups (table level, schema level, database level)
Performance tuning, query tuning
Verifying and resolving the SQL Server Blocking issues and finding sand fixing the root cause

Required Qualifications :
Knowledge in ITIL Principles, Microsoft SQL Server 2014 / 2016 / 2019, Window Server OS 2016 & 2019, HA&DR, T-SQL Scripting
Good communication skills and experience in handling the warrooms / bridge calls
Team player with collaborative skills
