FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW :

The Health and Benefits Associate is expected to perform tasks quickly and efficiently, with a high level of professionalism and positive attitude.

It is expected that the Health and Benefits Associate is capable and able to help in assisting with the administration of all health and benefits programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability and compensation claims.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

NURSING DUTIES

  • With critical medical thinking skills and good bedside manner
  • Provide basic health care administering first aid where needed and evaluating employees’ overall health
  • Attend to and Follow up all medical-related concerns
  • Administer first aid / nursing intervention to employees
  • Assist patient to nearest hospital due to emergency
  • Clinic & Supplies Management
  • Monthly medical supplies disbursement, inventory & requisition.
  • Aid in medical events and activities
  • Administer first aid / nursing intervention to employees and members.
  • Medical Certificate validation
  • Monitor and update all clinic tracker
  • Safekeep medical records
  • Distribute HMO cards
  • Aid in medical events and activities
  • Dissemination of health-related bulletin on a monthly basis.
  • Other adhoc task that maybe assigned from time to time.
  • OFFICE HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Perform Accident or Incident Investigations and Prepare Accident / Incident reports (WAIR / EWAIR)
  • Perform safety walk weekly
  • Lead and encourage the employees to participate evacuation drills (fire, earthquake) and secure accurate postmortem reports
  • Enforce company policies and procedures and Safety and Health Regulations and Standards
  • Observe work in progress and assure safety equipment is worn and procedures followed
  • Suggest for corrections and follow-up to correct violations
  • Resolve complaints and suggest to management for corrective action
  • Ensure employee safety training, classroom lectures, demos and hands-on instruction.
  • Review accidents and suggest preventing similar future incidents
  • Execute effective safety, hazard control and industrial hygiene program. (solid waste disposal monitoring)
  • Evaluate risks and hazards and suggest for corrective action
  • Assign responsibilities and update safety organizational charts as needed
  • BENEFITS COORDINATION

  • Monitoring and keeping track of ticket resolutions, providing feedback and escalating issues as necessary
  • Review and input accurate data; track and maintain all encoded data and records
  • Ensure timely enrollment and deletion of employee & dependents to HMO and company’s Group Life Insurance
  • Ensure that all benefits of employees are released on identified schedules
  • Monitor and ensure release and return of HMO cards
  • Accurate and timely computation / payment of statement of account, i.e. HMO, pre-employment medical exam provider, Group Life insurance and other medical providers
  • Ensure that all Government Mandated requirements are submitted on time
  • Ensure timely filling of employee’s complete HMO reimbursement documents and the release of check
  • Ensure timely submission of employee’s sickness and maternity notification to SSS
  • Accommodates processing of employee sickness and maternity benefits and ensure company’s 100% reimbursement
  • Accommodates enrollment of new hire employees in company’s Philhealth
  • Timely release of Philhealth documents to the confined employees
  • Coordinates with HRBPs, Payroll Team and other department in relation to medical related benefits
  • Coordinate compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow up on claims.
  • Attending other client concern in terms of medical related benefits
  • Other Ad hoc tasks as required

  • Ability to quickly process and organize information
  • Has high attention to detail, fast learner
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Capable of dealing with local staff and foreign clients
  • Enthusiastic, Outgoing, responsible, motivated, dedicated
  • Average verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Can work under minimal supervision
  • Willing to report on site in BGC, Taguig.
  • Ability to deliver services with the highest standards
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Registered Nurse
  • Active PRC license
  • BOSH Training a plus but not required
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Has work experience in handling benefits-related transactions
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Excel, office 365)
