The position is your opportunity to ensure quality for our customer facing marketing channels such as our websites and marketing automation technologies, as well as making sure that quality data flows between the systems.

What you will be doing?

As a Marketing DevOps QA Specialist, your job is to

seamlessly integrates all the three functions Dev, Ops, and QA into a single Marketing Operations entity that delivers value.

Quality Assurance (QA) plays an important role as a key enabler in delivering and ensuring continuous delivery of business value.

QA & testing is viewed as one of the most vital levers for accelerating time to market within MarTech initiatives.

Ensure flow of quality data between systems :

Marketing automation isn’t just about nurturing leads and data appending, it’s about automating and controlling Customer Acquisition, Onboarding, and Renewals.

The more we can un-silo data for use in messaging, the more possibilities we have to connect with customers properly and provide a seamless user experience.

Enhancing the Digital Marketing Channels (SEO / UX) :

Ensuring the on-page experience and data collection is human friendly. This includes that the website is optimized not only for search engines but also for users.

That might mean creating special forms to pull / push data. These enhancements could also mean creating a multi-step form process tied to the product, as well as automating the quality check of data collection The possibilities are endless.

Your responsibilities will include :

SEO Focused QA :

  • Assist with optimizing web pages to rank and maintain those rankings in search engines. This includes following through with technical audit implementations, implementing suggestions from the larger team, and validating the implementation delivery.
  • Identify areas for improvements in site structure, internal linking, page code and content development.
  • Assist in setting up A / B and Multi-Variate testing from a technical standpoint.
  • Build customized experiences on customer facing email or websites.
  • Marketing Technology Focused QA :

  • Test different integrations (manual testing followed by automation). Vet that integrations use correct events and APIs.
  • Troubleshoot bad imports or workflow errors.
  • Create and monitor data pulls and inserts between systems.
  • Vet that integrations use correct events and APIs.
  • Working with developers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended Implement secure QA automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments
  • Move beyond manual functional testing and should focus efforts on automation and testing strategies.
  • Customizing workflows or data transforms to meet internal security, data security, and custom requests. Testing how forms package data for the CRM / MA stack

    Other qualities you will need to be a fit for this role include :

  • Familiar with SEO concepts in general Technical SEO HTTP status, meta tags, redirects, etc.On-page optimization meta tags, internal links, etc.
  • Links external and internalWeb design and analytics principles

  • Familiar with Email Marketing concepts Email deliverabilityForms / landing pages, etc.
  • Familiar with API programming enough to troubleshoot or build.
  • Familiar with SQL, ETL, Boomi, and similar tools.
  • Familiar with JavaScript and jQuery.
  • Web or UI developer not an HTML / CSS designer, someone who understand and builds with JavaScript and jQuery.
  • Someone who has a history of building product to front-end connections.
  • Tools

    While not a requirement, these are nice to have - tools related to data and customer experiences as well as front-end web development include :

  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS (Front-End web development)
  • CMS WordPress and other major platforms such as Drupal, Craft, etc..
  • jQuery, Python, API coding and uses
  • Familiarity with Marketo, while not required is a plus
  • There are more systems integration functions that could include tools like

  • ETL jobs
  • Excel advanced functions
