We are currently looking for a Database Reliability Engineer who has a working experience on databases, queueing services and real time data feeds.
As part of your responsibilities, you are to enable and empower users of the Platform by helping them in abstracting Infrastructure, Platform, and Data services reported issues.
You are also expected to fulfill internal projects that improves Platform’s overall technical debt.

YOUR ROLE
You’ll be working with our partners to identify and implement technical solutions for their needs.
Be the first responder for all customer and end user inquiries for operational and engineering support
Work confidently with initiative and self-direction in a fast paced environment
Work with a wide range of customers (software and engineering teams) to support their workflows in the existing platform
Write clear and consumable documentation
Perform root cause analysis, identify and resolve underlying problem patterns, while driving to develop automated and self-healing solutions
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1-2 years hands-on experience running at least one or two of the following data stores :
Oracle (RDBMS) : a practical knowledge and experience on CRUD operations using Oracle PL / SQL; experienced in troubleshooting and maintaining Oracle objects such as ?
packages, procedures, views, materialized views, and triggers.
Cassandra / Redis (NoSQL) : experience in basic troubleshooting for Cassandra / Redis clusters; a practical experience for CRUD operations using CQL;
proficient in using redis-cli commands for troubleshooting purposes
Kafka (Messaging / Broker) : experience in troubleshooting and maintaining Kafka clusters and components such as ControlCenters, Brokers and Zookeeper;
practical experience in creating / deleting topics
A solid understanding of the DevOps methodology and at least 2 years working with it in a professional environment
Experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Proficient in log analysis and monitoring with hand-on experience using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana
Proficient in distributed versioning systems and artifact management such as GIT and Artifactory
Able to create automation scripts in Bash, Python, or Ruby
Knows the way around Linux systems
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or its equivalent.
PLUS POINTS
Software Development experience
Experience in performance tuning of various databases
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
Experience with HashiCorp technologies such as Consul, Vault, Terraform and Nomad
Knowledgeable in the operations, design, architecture, and management of Cloud based Infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and other similar technologies
Relevant Certifications on the Key qualifications
