As part of the everyday workflow, the candidate will be required to work with highly complex engineering files that will be re-
purposed for use in a real time 3D game environment.
The candidate will typically work on multiple projects at any given time within a fast paced, business development environment.
Work closely with designers and engineers to establish a clear vision for each project.
Meet established standards and maintain efficient practices.
When necessary the candidate will also assist, mentor and train other employees in the processes and procedures of developmental tasks as necessary.
Provide critical analysis of art practices with the goal of improving quality and team efficiency and fostering a positive working environment.
Provide additional support to business initiatives as requested by your direct supervisor.
Any other tasks / duty as directed by client / management
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Design, Creative Multimedia, Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years’ of experience modeling, and texturing 3D assets using 3DS Max
Candidate must have a strong design portfolio and / or demo reel demonstrating extensive knowledge of modeling for real-
time gaming engines such as Unity3d, Unreal, etc.
Experience using Unity3D
Experience working with engineering files such as : AutoCAD, Pro / Engineer, Rhino or Solidworks.
Experience with Node Based Systems for creation and editing such as Unreal Blueprint, Shader Forge, Houdini, and many Compositing Software packages
Familiar with PBR texturing suites such as Substance and Quixel
The candidate should be experienced in high to low-poly and hard surface asset modeling.
An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette regarding modeling
Superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps of different material types.
Hard surface modeling specializing in mechanical, industrial, and product design
Technical background and understanding of mechanical movements and typical product customizations
Ability to work with accurate scale for real world products
Ability and high level of understanding of rigging and animation including skinned mesh rendering using bones, as well as blend and / or morph targets for optimized configurability of meshes.
Must be a highly self-motivated individual.
Genuine interest in industrial product design and all things mechanical
A love for movies and video games
Ability to work independently and achieve results without a lot of supervision.
Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of team members.
