Reporting to the Construction Manager, his role will have 6 Area Managers reporting to the position and the main responsabilities will be :
Oversee and Direct construction coordination of the projects from conception to completion.
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
Select tools, materials and equipment appropriate and track inventory.
Meet contractual conditions of performance.
Review the work progress on daily basis.
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
Negotiate terms of agreements, draft particular conditions in contracts and obtain permits and licenses with the Team.
Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Responsible and accountable for the Construction in terms of the safety, quality, Budget Schedule and Workforce;
Selects, manages and mentors the team and work force in order to achieve the goals in terms of Safety, Quality, Budget and Schedule;
Ensure project safety and quality standards and environmental programs are adhered to at all times;
Maintain excellent relationships with owner and dedicated owner’s counterparts;
Oversees and manages the coordination with the different design teams so as to allow for procurement and construction as per the schedule and budget;
Responsible and accountable for guarantying the compatibility and integration of different disciplines, involved in the project in terms of Safety, Schedule and Budget;
Develops, manages, monitors and is accountable for the construction budget;
Ensure optimum utilization of staff, labor, material, equipment and other resources across all segment.
Implement and follow Acciona and or JV procedures in the Project at its level.
Ensure appropriate and compliant usage of administrative procedures within construction part.
Participate and validates in tender closings;
Conduct Performance Evaluations of staff;
Requisitos del candidato
5 years of leadership and previous supervisory experience overseeing 300 plus people.
5 years’ experience working on complex road, bridge and rail projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to resolve project disputes with no management assistance
Ability to manages issues Owner, Authorities and stakeholders
Excellent presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, MS Word and Excel
Working knowledge of Project Management systems, accounting systems and scheduling software
Experience with complex private and public partnership contracts
Strong teaming and communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Team player who is organized and flexible
Education : Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
Further Education :
Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
Languages / level : High level of English.
Experience : more than 15 years of experience in Construction with significant international projects.
Experience : 10 years performing functions as Construction Manager.
Experience with singular construction methods for bridge erection (special formwork systems, form travelers, mobile scaffold systems, launching girders, Cut and Cover constructions).
Experience in Railway projects
