Software Development Team Lead's main role is to supervise the a development team that is responsible to build and maintain web and database applications.
Duties include instructing, directing, leading and checking the work of other Software engineers. The position will involve working with primarily dynamic teams with project managers, business owners, and other developers.
Also the position will involve working with business owners and other departments such as infra, helpdesk, Project office, architecture team to prioritize work and resolve issues.
Team lead must be comfortable in highly collaborative environments.
Implements the signed off Specification Documents and discuss with the development team and business users.
Responsible with product quality in its integrated level of the development.
Responsible for the group delivery of the project and leading the team effectively.
Coordinates with the business users, together with the Project Manager.
Capable of writing project brief and proposals.
Provide architectural direction for applications in development with respect to approve reference architecture.
Work closely with Project Manager, scrumaster to ensure that projects is delivered on time, on budget, on standards and met the requirements.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes;
investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
Responsible with the quality of code by adhering to Coding Standards.
Search for new ways of improving the development process by evaluating new tools and software.
Review, to the extent possible, changes in code and the environment that will affect system performance.
Provide recommendations to management concerning issues of programmer productivity and software development management.
Possess excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication.
Prepare reports and analysis regarding issues, incident in progress, opposing ideas and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Provide general administrative support to the organization.
Oversee code development using proper code reviews to ensure code meets standards and appropriate tools, methodologies and processes are used appropriately.
Perform managerial duties as delegated and provide general administrative support to the organization.
Do performance evaluations of subordinates and make the final recommendations for promotion or advancement.
Complete daily organizational functions like worksheet report.
Work closely with the infra, build and release, and database team to ensure swift and efficient Implementation of point releases document and codes to Live servers.
Participate in an on-call rotation
To work with the Solution Lead in the design of components, encapsulating sensible business functions, which will underpin the technology platform in alignment with the technical strategy and architectural governance.
To maintain â and actively seek to utilise â subject matter expertise across a broad range of technology trends and domains (to include electronic publishing, web & mobile development, and social media trends).Â
Knowledge and Experiece
6 years java, HTML, JEE, JSF ccs, Spring , struts framework using Oracle as backend database
2 years AWS essentials
4 year + PHP laravel in a web environment
No Ssql experience, ideally with MongoDb
Knows tools including SVN, Git
Experience of working in an Agile development process (Scrum or similar) within a web development domain
To communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues in IT team, as well as non-technical users
Excellent solution design, analysis and documentation skills
At least 2 years of working experience in the related fields is required for the position
Experience of Web infrastructure and related technology areas
Strong background on object oriented.
