The office in Cebu, Philippines is responsible for medical record processing operations RNs, Medical Technologists, Pharmacists and Collections Agents who work with a wide-range of medical records, creating usable databases and beautiful timelines.

In addition, the Cebu office is a new tech startup office with its own challenges and opportunities ones we feel are best addressed by a strong, local team.

Job Brief

We are looking for a Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee the daily accounting operations of PicnicHealth Cebu.

The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for establishing a strong financial status by tracking, monitoring and evaluating day-to-day accounting tasks and activities.

These tasks are essential to ensure company's performance and success.

The ideal Finance and Accounting Manager should possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as strong understanding of accounting and management principles and financial legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close process for Mission Digital Health, Inc. and coordinate with Corporate Accounting Team during the monthly close process to hit month-end close deadlines.
  • Own internal financial reporting related to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for Cebu site leadership team and Corporate Operations Team, and coordinate with San Francisco Finance Team on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain appropriate accounting records for the company in accordance with best practices and government regulations.
  • Establish valuable relationships with local banking partners, vendors, auditors, lawyers, and regulators.
  • Prepare annual stand-alone financial statements and coordinate with external CPA firm for annual statutory audit and tax return filings
  • Coordinate with on-site HR team with submission and processing of semi-monthly payroll and related government remittances.
  • Develop best-in-class internal controls, policies and procedures as they relate to the Cebu Office.
  • Oversee and provide review for Accountant who maintains full cycle accounting and daily accounting operations functions
  • Learn global Finance, Treasury, & Accounting functions to help scale global Finance support within the Cebu office.
  • Requirements

  • Proven 5 years of work experience as a Finance and Accounting Manager
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant
  • With at least 10 years of cumulative working experience in accounting and finance
  • Knowledgeable in using different accounting systems
  • Has strong financial analysis and forecasting skills
  • Experience working for a subsidiary / branch of a US company is required. Experience working in a similar role in a BPO is strongly preferred.
