What's the role?

The Senior Accountant shall be responsible for all aspects of daily accounting operations. The position shall supervise invoicing, inventory control, monthly closings, accounts payable and receivable monitoring, disbursement, preparation of the monthly financial statements,local tax compliance and maintain balance sheet schedules and subsidiary ledgers, as well as assist in various special projects.

What does the role involve?

1. Maintain accounting systems; enforce policies and procedures ensuring compliance with Hilti Philippines accounting standards and internal control requirements.

2. Maintain full set of books, preparation of financial statements, accounting schedules and perform account and bank reconciliations.

3. Assist the Accounting & Finance Manager in cash and accounts payable disbursement.

4. Statutory filing including but not limited to annual return filing and other BIR related process.

5. Liaise with both internal and external auditor for mid-year and year-end audit.

6. Perform rolling (4) weeks estimates, financial analysis and compile annual budget.

7. Prepare analysis to support major capital expenditure requests and handle fixed assets accounting

  • 8. Tax compliance (checking on customs duties; administering statutory required tax payments; liaison with tax representative on corporate income tax filing;
  • VAT returns; summary list and purchases; alphalist)

    9.Perform other duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

    The purpose of the role is to provide transparency and support the Finance Business Partner in creating relevant business insights.

    The role involves identifying opportunities, financial risks and ensuring reliable execution of monthly / quarterly / yearly controlling tasks.

    The job holder supports the Finance Business Partner (FBP) and / or Head of Controlling in shaping and executing the performance management cycle.

    Scope : Elevated role - works on problems of broad scope, demonstrates creativity in resolving variety of issues, typically 3-4 years of relevant experience.

    What you need is :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, gained from a reputable university.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred with minimum 5 years solid experience in Accounting, preferably gained from both multinational companies and auditing firm (tax department).
  • Must have good communication skills, proactive and possess the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong business acumen, result and detail oriented.
