1 - First ShiftThe Developer II provides and utilizes technical skills across the life cycle of programming requests (analysis, design, programming, documentation, testing, implementation and support).
This role works directly with several departments to meet their specific programming requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.
2. Develop and implement program code based on design specifications using accepted programming techniques and standards.
Preserve the integrity of all files and maximize the efficiency and resources of all computer systems through effective program development techniques (testing and debugging) and through effective programming design features (editing, security and auditing controls).
3. Analyze programming requirements based on end-user needs; develop and modify programs per departmental and user request;
maintain and enhance existing application programs as requested.
4. Develop and maintain all necessary application and program documentation.
5. Provide end-user support services, as needed, including, but not limited to, training, documentation preparation, troubleshooting and consultation.
6. Develop work breakdown structures and estimate time, delivery, and cost for development projects.
Education and / or Experience
Associate’s degree with a major in Applied Sciences or Computer Programming.
4 years programming experience; and / or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Ability to operate a desktop computer, database software for viewing, exporting, importing and modifying table data using industry standard tools.
Demonstrated knowledge consuming and creating of web services (WSDL / REST).
Demonstrated experience developing web and desktop applications as well as web services using the following .NET frameworks : Model-View View-Model (MVVM), Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Model View Controller (MVC), Entity Framework, and WinForms.
Ability to program in multiple languages including PL / SQL, C#, Vue.js and JQuery.
Ability to work in multiple operating environments including Windows and Unix.
Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Experience in web application development and ERP, MRP or supply chain applications required.
Experience with Bootstrap and LINQ preferred.

Increase knowledge in the area(s) of programming languages and databases.
Ability to type and program code to support the business decisions and computing needs.
Demonstration of strong organizational skills; ability to work effectively under extreme stress; ability to effectively manage programming requests simultaneously.
Ability to provide timely and accurate information to the computer operations staff and end-users regarding programming, its effects on operations and its effects on end-user processing.
Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public / customers and co-workers; ability to provide excellent internal customer service.
Ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships, which encourage openness with customers and peers and with co-workers, staff, clients and the community to meet or exceed expectations.
Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstration of attention to detail and a high sense of accuracy; ability to create accurate, professional and error-free documents;
ability to type and enter data accurately.
Up to 5% domestic and / or international travel by car or plane may be required.
