The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for setting and implementing the strategy and direction for Abbott’s key accounts.

The incumbent has to be able to build a mutually beneficial business partnership between Abbott and his / her assigned accounts

Key Areas of Accountability :

Key Account Management

  • Plan and drive annual Key Account customer business plans with the goal of achieving sales objectives through the development and implementation of Key Account strategies, cost effective promotional plan, customer specific objectives, new product distribution and maximization of existing products’ distribution, merchandising strategy to maximize in-store visibility and displays and category management.
  • Develop and build stronger relationship with the key account customers with thorough understanding on the needs of the customers and trade, build stronger partnership with stakeholders and recommend plans and programs which will accelerate the business.
  • Use consumer and shopper insights into what drives purchase behavior and develops business plans that will deliver sales objectives in collaboration with the customers.
  • Manage and evaluate trade fund investments to maximize ROI, ensure cost effectiveness and also take the lead in trading terms negotiation.
  • Monitor, analyze and review trade sales performance of the customers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure achievement of sales objectives, conduct gap analysis and formulates mitigation plans to address the gaps and other operational business concerns of the customer.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different functions such as Marketing, Channel Development, Finance and Supply Chain teams to assist in delivering excellent end-to-end customer service delivery.
  • Develop annual business plan in collaboration with the customers, Channel and Marketing teams.
  • Participate in the trade sales demand forecast
  • Stay abreast on the market environment and gather trade intelligence in areas of products, pricing, packaging, distribution, competitive claims and activities executed by competitors and other suppliers.

  • At least 1 year per position

  • Bachelor's degree, any Business and Marketing Course
