GENERAL PURPOSE :

The Lead for Store Presentation is responsible for collaborating with NYBO to establish merchandising direction and presentation standards across all Ross / dd’s Stores.

The Store Presentation Lead will be responsible for all cross-functional elements, including developing timelines, communication & tools, securing funding and partnering with Corporate Partners & Field Leaders to implement Store Presentation strategies & initiatives.

A key component of this role is being the subject matter expert for all Merchandising processes and strategies, understanding Store Operations processes, policies and procedures, and building close working relationships with Merchant Support, Field Leaders and Stores.

This role is responsible for driving execution of merchandising initiatives in Stores through effective project planning, budgeting, cross-functional collaboration with key business partners, and the development of communication tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Communication : Lead processes involved in information gathering, production and distribution of all monthly and seasonal merchandising communication to all Ross / dd’s Stores (i.
  • e. Seasonal Shop direction, Seasonal Flow direction, General Merchandising direction).

  • Collaborate with NYBO & Store Operations Leadership to establish and align on direction and strategies.
  • Coordinate timelines for development of communication, printing and on-time delivery to Stores and Field Leaders.
  • Develop communication that translates complex concepts into clear and easy to understand communication with effective layout and design, language, and tone for the intended audience.
  • Design and produce quality written and visual communications to meet the needs of the Operations group and Store Teams (i.
  • e. Seasonal Shop direction, Seasonal Flow direction, General Merchandising direction, floor plans).

  • Develop monthly in-store marketing communications regarding placement direction for all promotional signage in collaboration with the Signage Team.
  • Maintain Communication tools as new projects and initiatives occur and provide updates to the appropriate cross-functional partners as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Field Leaders to gain constructive feedback regarding Seasonal Shops, Seasonal Flows and General Merchandising direction and communication.
  • Project Management : Create, execute and deliver effective Merchandising processes, strategies and tools for Ross / dd’s Stores that align with business objectives and drive adoption of new Merchandising initiatives as well as lead any follow up to execution post rollout.
  • Collaborate with key business partners to ensure effective coordination and execution as it relates to merchandising initiatives including new stores, remodels, special projects & initiatives.
  • Secure funding for new initiatives, develop monthly forecasts and provide financial updates.
  • Manage the follow up of all aspects of the timeline including kickoff calls, meetings, business partner follow up and providing status updates.
  • Regularly visit Stores and leverage Field Leaders to evaluate merchandising initiatives and identify improvement opportunities and / or tools that drive execution.
  • Is constantly in direct and non-direct competitors seeking industry best practices as well as keeping up to date with trends.

  • QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of retail management experience that includes project management and business process ownership in Store Operations, multi-unit or a hybrid of field and corporate experience preferred
  • Proficient knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and Adobe Creative Suite, Graphic Design skills preferred,
  • Proficient knowledge of Store operations and how other operating areas impact Stores
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage both corporate and Field partners and successfully influence and drive results through cross-functional partnerships
  • Ability to manage projects from creation to implementation to maintenance
  • Ability to think strategically and determine impact of decisions on the business
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Advance proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ADA :

    Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

    Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper / files, etc.

    Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

    Vision requirements : Ability to see information in print and / or electronically.

    Travel requirements : Ability to travel to stores in local and non-local markets as needed.
