The Failure Analysis Engineer will be supporting customer returned units , maverick submittals, reliability failures and functional bench test validation of failed units within the defined cycle time goals.
The FA engineer will also communicate with the internal product , field and quality engineering teams in resolution of failures.
The FA engineer will also be accountable for technical development of the laboratory processes as well as demonstrate good problem solving skills.
Willing to work on shifts if required.
The candidate must have the following qualifications :
A graduate of electronics engineering is preferred, however other related degrees ( i.e. chemical engineering / physics / chemistry / electrical engineering) may also be considered depending on the skills and qualifications ( i.
e. industry experience pertitnent to failure analysis).
Has a good understanding of the semiconductor assembly and test process.
Must be knowledgeable in bench test simulation , circuit simulation and hands on experience in bench test tools.
Good understanding of basic circuit principles and basic understanding of device datasheet paramaters.
Has experience in working in the wet lab as well as sample preparations.
Has good communication skills , can write reports and work attitude.
Keeps the analysis progress updated and can communicate with other technical departments for closure of submittal.
Understands the 8D report format.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Resourceful and can provide process improvements to the laboratory operations through 5S or other methodologies.
Preferably with 2 -5 years of pertinent experience.
