As we look to the future, we are seeking a world-class Manual Quality Control Engineer based in ROHQ, Binan, Philippines.

SunPower is seeking for an Application Solutions Manual QC Engineer reporting to the Applications Solutions Team - Manager .

  • The Application Solutions Manual QC Engineer will work with Product Owners and Dev Engineers to ensure final software project meets the design and scope specifications;
  • as well as working to improve the overall quality of the development process.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned) :

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases in consideration of cross functional impact analysis on solution design implementation.
  • Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines.
  • Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
  • Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
  • Actively participate as QA representative in software team meetings (e.g. standup meetings, code review, risk analysis, etc.).
  • Perform Ad Hoc tasks as provided by management.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other IT related courses or, similar working experience in the related field.
  • Proven working experience in software quality assurance
  • Experience with Defect / Project Management Tools, such as Pivotal, JIRA
  • Good understanding of the Salesforce platform configurations and Oracle, or similar platform.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of the Salesforce platform configurations and / or Oracle
