The District Manager will develop, implement and monitor strategic plans for the district in order to deliver results per the quota / target specifications.
The District Manager reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer until a Regional Sales Manager is hired.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Achieve sales targets and maintain promotional expenditure within a defined budget.
Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve the individual and team sales targets.
Supervise the sales team to ensure adherence to the working plan, itinerary and programs.
Follow-up, audit, and implement the working plans and procedures.
Coach, train and develop subordinates to meet job requirements.
Conduct appraisal on the performance of the sales representatives.
Submit a weekly working report or action plan, visit clients and work with the sales rep on the field.
Assess competition and report concerns with problem-solving action.
Submit plans to immediate superior for approval within the required time frame.
Ensure that agreed action plans are followed and its' effectiveness monitored.
Actively participate in product abd sales development programs.
Manage turnover and assume responsibility for vacant territories.
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's customer base and ensures its strong presence.
Can handle product presentations and demos.
Evaluate and provide analysis to management for new products and international market opportunities.
Ensure activities are in accordance with the developed objectives.
BS / BA degree required
Experience in leading a product portfolio (medical equipment and consumables)
3-5 years of pharmaceutical / medical / healthcare sales experience required
3+ years of pharmaceutical / medical / healthcare sales management experience required
Ability to recruit, retain, train and develop high performing sales talent; ability to manage turnover and vacancy process
Track record of meeting / exceeding target objectives
Travel (up to 25%) and field work (50-70%) may be required
