Telcoin is a consumer finance company focused on providing customers with low cost, high quality financial services via blockchain technology, legacy banking, and mobile financial services infrastructure.

We are a team of telecom executives, start-up veterans, finance professionals, all-star developers, and blockchain specialists looking for a full-time Finance Operations Assistant in the Philippines.

Our ideal candidate is at the forefront of the ever-evolving fintech and blockchain regulatory landscape in the Philippines, and will ensure Telcoin’s continued status as a licensed financial institution.

Key responsibilities :

  • Prepares periodic financials forms, documents and reports needed by the stakeholders
  • Records financial transactions on the accounting books of assigned Telcoin entities within the Group. This includes collecting data, analyzing and investigating variances and summarizing financial transactions.
  • Maintains repository of historical financial data for the assigned Telcoin entities within the Group.
  • Keeping track and monitoring of inter-company accounting activities of assigned Telcoin entities within the Group
  • Assist the Company in its statutory obligations and filings
  • Assist the Finance Operations Manager in design / creation and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures across our Telcoin Group.
  • Assist in local and corporate audit efforts by assembling, reviewing and providing working papers / supporting files.
  • Participates in meetings and consultations for accounting and finance management requirements.
  • Assist in the resolution of accounting and internal control issues (if any) related to local and international accounting operations.
  • Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational opportunities;
  • reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organization.

  • Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
  • Required experience and competencies :

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management, Finance / Accountancy / Banking
  • Have at least three (3) years of combined experience in finance, accounting, and tax preferably at a bank or regulated financial technology (fintech) institution.
  • Experience in using QuickBooks
  • Knowledge and experience in using accounting reporting frameworks such as International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Fluent in English; possessing superior communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate your attention to detail, being able to quickly move your focus and multi task.
  • Excellent financial analysis skills, database and worksheet management skills.
  • Team player and be flexible in work functions.
  • Experience working in a fast faced start-up company and you enjoy it.
  • You’ll have an edge over the competition if :

  • You are a CPA
  • You have a Big four (4) firm audit experience
  • You have an excellent understanding of complex accounting areas related to our international operations such as accounting for inter-company transactions with multi-jurisdictions accounting (with focus on Asia Pacific Region, Japan, US), translation of foreign currency transactions and revenue recognition.
  • You possess specific knowledge of the remittance industry.
  • You have an experience working at any fintech company.
