IT Security Operations Center Manager PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Security Operations Center Manager is responsible for managing the operations of the 24x7 security operations center in Manila IT Shared Services Center including developing incident response program to address security incidents as well as identifying and remediating organizational vulnerabilities.

Monitor and review key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure target are met on monthly basis, determine gaps and provide recommendation to improve efficiency of the team.

REPORTING LINE

  • IT Shared Services Director and functionally to Global Security Operations Manager.
  • SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing 24x7 Security Operation Center (SOC) environment in shifts, ensure there are enough coverage to provide support.
  • Develop the implementation of security standards and best practices.
  • Recommend security enhancements to safeguard the organization from security threats.
  • Develop and recommend training plans to ensure staffs are updated with current tools and threats in the global environments.
  • Ensure that regular audits on security standards are conducted periodically.
  • Escalate to top management any breach of security and recommend actions plans to mitigate the issue.
  • PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT Security or a related field; alternatively equivalent demonstrated knowledge
  • 5 years' experience in IT security or IT Operations.
  • Strong understanding of technical security solutions (firewalls and intrusion detection / prevention systems)
  • Understanding of security operations concepts : perimeter defense, endpoint management, data leak prevention, kill chain analysis and security metrics
  • Familiar with vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, forensic analysis.
