Cargill Premixand Nutrition (CPN) seeks to become the Trusted Advisor to its customersthrough a practical and applied approach to delivering industry leadingnutrition solution concepts as well as enhanced profitability.
The Commercial Lead - Mila is primarily responsible tosecure, develop and manage key commercial accounts for the Premix and PromoteTMAdditives business in the Philippines primarily in the feed mill and integratorsegments and identified farm accounts.
This role requires one to possess aunique blend of business acumen, leadership, strong premix and additivesknowledge and know-
how (including the industry, players, products) andaccountability to achieve his / her sales targets. The Mila Commercial Lead mustbe able to develop new business by leveraging various channels and deliverymechanisms and effectively demonstrate product and service value to CPNPhilippines customers and end consumers.
He / She is responsible for deployingprocesses around Key Account Management with approximately 10 to 15 customersby crafting impactful strategic and commercial proposals (includes a portfolioof premix and feed additive products and agreement-
based processes) thatdeliver value, build effective business relationships and grow a sustainableadditives business.
New Business Development : Increase market shareof Premix and Promote™ additive portfolio through initiating new businessdevelopment efforts via direct sales or distribution channels, including :
Deeper market penetration of core portfolio
New product and newcustomer development
Channel expansion toidentified geographies and territories
Strong professional relationshipdevelopment with key customer stakeholders (i.e. Consultants)
Existing Account Management : Manage existingaccount as identified (via direct channel), including :
Apply Key Account Management approach to leadcross-functional efforts to support customer needs
Build and execute strategy to achieve salestargets and volume growth goals
Sales planning and target setting to drivesustainable, profitable growth
Ensure customer satisfaction and maximize returnon investment for existing accounts
Communicate price offers to customers based onrelative value positioning
Marketing Plan Execution
Support proper positioning of Premix and PromoteTMAdditives, aligning marketing of the concept to match customer needs at variouslevels of the value chain
Actively provide feedback on the marketacceptance of Premix and PromoteTM products and concepts to ensureInnovation efforts address most relevant customer needs and marketopportunities
Monitor competitive market conditions torecommend appropriate pricing strategy, relative to value offered to customers
Other Key Responsibilities
Take active role in building the CPN PhilippinesFeedmill and Integrator Accounts Commercial Team.
Display a high level of critical thinking incross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existingproducts.
Coordinate and build strong working relationswith various internal organizations such as Strategic Marketing &Technology (SMT), Customer Service, Finance and Operations.
Bachelor’s degree in an agriculture, veterinarymedicine or technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
Good working knowledge of the principles ofanimal nutrition, formulation and technology
Minimum of 10 years of progressive external sales, leadership andbusiness development role with a good track record and experience in the fieldof animal nutrition, specifically inpremix and feed additive application
Extensive experience in managing key accounts using Key AccountManagement frameworks / tools
Demonstrated ability to represent company / brandwell via a solutions approach and strong relationship building with customers
Ability to read market needs and determineviability of products for internal use and external offering
Ability to balance technical skills and businessacumen, used to identify opportunities to improve customers’ performance andbusiness results
Strong ability to effectively manage customer accounts using fundamentalprinciples and processes of key account management and sales effectiveness
Ability to develop and present a business solution to meetcustomers’ most pressing needs
Workingtechnical (nutritional) knowledge of animal nutrition, feeding and managementpractices of Swine and Poultry
Experience at a leading multinational additivecompany in the animal nutrition industry
Has a strong sales leadership experience
Self-starter and ability to work on owninitiative
Ability to work cross-functionally to drivebusiness and customer development
Innovative and proactive; high learning agility
