Typically, to qualify as a Japanese Technical Support Representative you need to have :
Fluency in both written and spoken Nihongo and English
Speaking Familiarity in Keigo (honorific or polite form) is preferred
Writing Knowledge in Katakana and Hiragana is a must; Familiarity in basic to intermediate Kanji is preferred
Reading - Knowledge in Katakana and Hiragana is a must; Familiarity in basic to intermediate Kanji is preferred
Basic English communication skills
Strong familiarity with the internet and MS Office applications
Previous customer service experience is a plus, but it’s not really a requirement
What you might be doing on a typical day :
Consult with customers on products and services to provide the best solutions via call, email and / or chat
Respond to customer inquiries with compassion and active listening
Ultimately you will provide excellent customer service that keeps the customer coming back
