Position Responsibilities

  • Provide Cognos Business Intelligence / Analytics administration expertise in support of large, multi-tenant clusters. Troubleshooting Application and User Account problems as well as providing software fault diagnosis and proposed resolutions that pertains to the Cloud SaaS environment.
  • Manage and support cloud applications.
  • Satisfying application service requests.
  • Executing SQL scripts provided by Customer Care for troubleshooting data related issues.
  • Adhering to a high standard in security protocol and procedures.
  • Performing Deltek product hotfix deployments and installations / upgrades.
  • Adding content to internal Knowledge base.
  • Maintaining and auditing customer Instance inventory lists.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting enterprise customer-facing software
  • 2+ years of experience administering large IBM Cognos Business Intelligence (10.2.x) or IBM Cognos Analytics (11.x) clusters, preferably multi-tenant
  • Report development experience is a plus, but not required for this role
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL script execution in SQL Server or Oracle.
  • 2+ years experience as a system administrator.
  • 1+ years experience as mentor trainer
  • Diverse range of technical and operational interests and capabilities, including Microsoft, Java / J2EE, PowerShell, SQL Server, Oracle, virtualization, monitoring.
  • Experience with public cloud providers.
  • Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Experience with automated deployment technologies.
  • Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long term requirements.
  • Passionate about technology and solving application-focused problems.
  • Deltek product knowledge a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented, task driven, and have excellent communication skills. Customer service focus is key.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, peers, and others in and outside the organization to accomplish goals, objectives and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Willing to work on US shift
